The highly famed  Trans Superior Race
across Lake Superior is on August 3, 2013.

Tall Ships (Lynx, Pride of Baltimore II, and U.S. Brig Niagara) will be docking at Bondar Marina, July 19 to July 21.

2013 BOOM Learn to Sail Program

The Algoma Sailing Club in conjunction with Ontario Sailing Association is pleased to offer BOOM Sail Training July 4-5 for youth and adults.

Funding Support for the 2013 Learn to Sail Programs is provided by OTF.  “The Ontario Trillium Foundation is an agency of the  Government of Ontario”

Rowers, Canoes & Kayaks.

Due to many inquiries from interested Rowers, Canoe and Kayak owners in wanting to use our facilities the Algoma Sailing Club executive is considering a rowing membership to includes this class of boats.

Meetings are under way with rowing organizations from southern Ontario that will open up some opportunities for us.

Until then temporary until this all formalized just use the Associate Member Program but do indicate that you are a rower.

How busy is our waterways? Well you can listen to the Marine Radio Scanner of all the local ship/boat traffic travelling throughout the Sault Mary's River System. This VHF radio feed is courtesy of Boatnerd and RadioReference.

Special Overnight Races:
For even more fun, our long distance races (5) involve weekends with an overnight stays at a marina or even better yet, anchor or rafting up in secluded bays.

Boat Anchorage:
Our moorings are divided into two areas; within a natural sheltered harbor which is ideal for smaller boat sizes and just outside the harbor with limited protection for the largest of boats.

Free Tours:
Your more than welcomed at any time to drop by and visit any of us at the Clubhouse. Enjoy your stay next door at Bellevue Park and at the Topsail Island causeway

Launch your Sailboat:
By using our boat launch and docks. Our Rented Crane Services during Spring Haul-In and Fall Haul-Out makes boat launching fast and easy. (see memberships for cost.)
